The Fifth Trust Skills Centre in Barham, near Canterbury, has been shortlisted in the Construction Project of the Year category at the Kent Invicta Chamber Awards.

These prestigious awards focus on excellence in the Kent community and we’re thrilled that the scheme has been recognised for its design, delivery and impact on the local community.

Officially opened earlier in the year, the three new buildings transform the Fifth Trust’s ability to deliver activities to their students, enabling them to support up to 180 of them each week.

The £1.6m project, features the Art Studio, the Bradbury Building and Lucy’s Media Suite, named in memory of one of their students. These bright and airy spaces offer a range of activities including art, print, media and crafting. The Bradbury building, the largest of the new spaces offers an exhibition space and sensory room as well as kitchen and meeting area.

The awards ceremony is being held in November at Westenhanger Castle and we’re very excited to see whether it can pick up the winning prize.
