Senior Project Surveyor

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Surveyor who can manage the commercial aspects of construction projects, providing leadership and direction to the project team. The role involves managing the whole project cycle, including tendering, cost planning, contract administration, and final account negotiation. The Senior Project Surveyor should have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team and independently, and be proficient in using technology solutions for delivery of our services. Project management skills would also be desirable.

The role is a full-time, hybrid role, based in Canterbury, with some flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Consulting in the construction industry, delivering projects from start to finish
  • Good knowledge of various construction-related contracts, including JCT and NEC.
  • Experience in using relevant software, such as Causeway or similar;
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and reporting, and preparing project budgets and cost reports
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing and mentoring staff
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Membership of RICS is expected at this level.

Project Quantity Surveyor

This is a full-time Project Quantity Surveyor role located in Canterbury with flexibility for some remote work. The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for day-to-day cost control, cost planning, cost reporting, and overall cost management throughout the project life cycle.

The Project Surveyor should have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team and independently, and be proficient in using technology solutions for delivery of our services. Project management skills would also be desirable.

Qualifications

  • Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost Reporting skills
  • Ability to prepare accurate BOQs
  • Experience in overall cost management of large construction projects
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with contract administration
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
  • If you are starting/part way through your APC, we can support you to achieve your goal.
