Project Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor. The candidate would be responsible for managing contracts anywhere from £500k to £40m+.

The ideal candidate will likely be educated to degree/masters level, have 2+ years experience and either already be Chartered or be working towards their status via the APC process. The candidate could currently be an Assistant Project Surveyor looking for their next step up the ladder or currently acting as a Project Surveyor. Either way, you’ll have experience in delivering across the entire lifecycle and understand the need to drive a project forward with an excellent ability to solve problems and manage multiple stakeholders. What key attributes are we looking for?
A Project Quantity Surveying background, including ideally a degree from a built environment subject
2 years+ experience at a consultancy, or similar
MRICS accredited or en route to becoming chartered
Able to manage multiple schemes at once
Experienced in managing a project through its entire lifecycle.
Professional client facing manner with excellent communication and written skills
An excellent team player who can mentor and help others
Experience acting as Project Manager / Employer’s Agent / Contract Administrator would be an advantage, but not essential

Assistant Project Surveyor (entry level)

Have you just graduated? Are you numerically minded, a good problem solver and like the built environment? If the answer is yes, this role could be for you… Through on the job experience, you will learn about all areas of Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, supporting our experienced team on live projects which are at all stages of delivery. There is potential for supported further study and education and excellent progression opportunities.

Degree level educated in any subject, but a construction related degree is an advantage

Marketing and Admin Assistant

This varied role will require the successful candidate to support the Practice Manager in managing the office & delivering marketing activities. This includes basic day-to-day requirements around facilitating the smooth running of a busy office, including managing incoming calls, managing supplies, organising diaries, and managing IT needs/problems. It will also include assisting our Project Surveyors with admin related tasks such as minute taking/writing and updating of drawing registers. The other part of this role will see the successful candidate actively aiding in the rollout of the marketing strategy for the business. This may be through updating social media, creating new content for the website, ensuring brand consistency, or organising meetings and events.

In return, you’ll be exposed to all aspects of a successful local construction consultancy business and have the ability to undertake training to enhance and grow your skills. In the beginning, this role will be based in our office in Canterbury as you learn about your new role, the business and meet your colleagues. However, there will be an opportunity to work more flexibly as you settle in, subject to business needs.
