Graduate Quantity Surveyor (Leeds + Canterbury)

We are currently seeking a Graduate Quantity  Surveyor who can support the commercial aspects of construction projects, and be part of the b&m team.

This is a full-time Graduate Quantity Surveyor role located in Canterbury, with flexibility for some remote work. The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will support the delivery of cost management and quantity surveying services across a range of construction projects throughout the project life cycle. Responsibilities will include assisting with cost planning, cost reporting, procurement, valuations, and contract administration under the guidance of senior team members.

The Graduate Quantity Surveyor should have excellent communication skills, be eager to learn and develop professionally, and be able to work effectively both within a team and independently. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and proficiency in using technology solutions for service delivery are essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a similar discipline
  • We will also consider candidates with a non-cognate degree who are interested in pursuing a Quantity Surveying conversion course or Master’s degree
  • Understanding of cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting principles
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to develop within the construction industry
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
