We are delighted to share that b&m has been named Outstanding Contribution to Surveying by an SME at the RICS South East Awards 2026.

The award recognises surveying practices that demonstrate professional excellence, innovation, collaboration and a positive contribution to the built environment. To receive this recognition from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is a proud moment for our team, particularly as we celebrate our 40th year in business.

The award was presented at the RICS South East Awards ceremony on Friday evening, where b&m was also shortlisted for two project awards: Margate Digital for East Kent Colleges Group and Westgate One in Canterbury.

While we are incredibly proud to have won the SME category, this recognition belongs to everyone who has been part of our journey over the last four decades.

More Than Projects

Surveying is often measured by the buildings we help deliver, but for us, this award reflects something broader.

It recognises our commitment to professionalism, collaboration and the belief that great projects are achieved through strong relationships. Whether working as Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Employer’s Agents or CDM Principal Designers, our role has always been about helping clients navigate complexity, make informed decisions and achieve successful outcomes.

Over the years, our practice has evolved from a South East consultancy into a business delivering projects across the UK. Along the way, we have expanded our services, achieved B Corp certification, established offices in Leeds and Brighton, and continued to invest in our people, culture and communities.

Our approach has remained consistent throughout: putting people first, working collaboratively and always striving to deliver &More for our clients.

A Shared Achievement

This award is a reflection of the values that have shaped b&m over the last 40 years. It recognises not only the quality of the projects we help deliver, but the way in which we deliver them.

We are incredibly fortunate to work with clients who trust us to support some of their most important projects, and alongside consultants, contractors and stakeholders who share our commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.

The built environment is ultimately a people business. Strong relationships, mutual respect and collaboration remain at the heart of everything we do, and this recognition belongs as much to those we work with as it does to us.

Looking Ahead

Winning the South East regional award means we will now progress to the RICS UK Awards Grand Final, where we will represent the region alongside other winners from across the country.

Before then, we have another reason to celebrate, with King’s House, Manchester, shortlisted at the upcoming RICS North West Awards in July.

Whatever happens next, we are incredibly proud of what this recognition says about our team, our values and the way we work.

Thank you to everyone who has supported b&m over the last 40 years. Here’s to the next chapter.
