The project.

Originally based in the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital, Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust required larger premises for their growing orthotics needs. The Trust found a suitable space at Discovery Park, Sandwich, which required internal refurbishment to bring the space into use.

The new space offers offices and workshops better suited to their work and enabled them to expand production. The laboratory manufactures bespoke insoles for the NHS and private podiatry services to target helping patients with a range of ankle, gait and foot problems.

The labs’ products range from simple orthoses, to complex fully bespoke devices manufactured to the highest specification and all at highly competitive prices.

They can provide off-the-shelf products and other materials, such as Poron, simple EVA insoles for chair-side devices and impression boxes. They manufacture and supply their own line of generic devices made from injection moulded polypropylene. These can also be semi-bespoke by adding cut-outs or covers.

Services Used

“This is a one-of-a-kind facility which we are really proud of. We can manufacture all types of insole and orthotics that can transform the lives of patients across the UK. All of our profits are reinvested into the NHS.”
