As we continue to celebrate B Corp Month, we are excited that we can get involved in so many great initiatives. These include Environmental, Social and Community activities. From sharing a “B Corp” breakfast at our monthly staff catch up, or volunteering for our local community, we have enjoyed continuing to make a difference.

Our very own Becky joined in with the replanting initiative at Wildwood last week, alongside representatives from a range of B Corp companies across Kent. We loved doing our bit to support Wildwood Kent, in redeveloping woodland at their Kent centre, helping create a new habitat for animals and the natural world.

Kent County Council’s tree establishment strategy, Plan Tree, provided native trees for the project. A commendable total of 150 trees were planted, contributing to the objective of expanding tree cover by 1.5 million new trees and elevating the county’s average canopy cover to 19%.

The initiative benefited the local environment, as well as uniting the B Corp community, with Becky reporting that she felt a sense of pride in the group’s achievement, whilst also enjoying connecting with nature for the day.

There is a broader understanding that trees and woodlands provide mental health benefits, fostering an active and healthier lifestyle among community members and we are proud that we were part of the B Corp Local group in Kent.
