At b&m, community engagement is something that means a lot to us. With all that we do, we try to keep in mind that there is a world and community greater than ours.
Our Principal Designer, Craig Nimmo took some of our team and Wear Builders to his scout hut in Ash. The hut’s compound wasn’t secure at the rear and the fencing needed replacing.
It was a very cold day but with the help of great team work, they were able to clear the debris and rubbish that had found it’s way onto site, dig up the old fencing before fitting new wires to the existing concrete posts to receive the new chain link fence.
The newly secured area created at the rear of the building is now a usable space for the 45 young people that attend Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in the village.
What a successful day it was, and for a great cause. We hope to do even more for our community in the New Year.
