Teachers and pupils from Five Acre Wood school joined us to officially break ground on their new Hydrotherapy Pool Centre last week.

The pupils were able to watch work get underway while taking turns to sit in a digger, kindly facilitated by BEC Construction.

The project, designed by OSG Architecture, will offer a new pool for children and young adults with physical disabilities who require specialist physiotherapy. The pool will be available not only to the school, but the local community too.

As well as the pool, the new building provides wet and dry changing bays, shower bays and toilets, some of which are designed to be for accessible use. There will also be a trampoline room and storage facilities.
