The project.
Folkestone and Hythe District Council has long held ambitions to replace the popular but failing swimming pool in Hythe. The brief to achieve this was to utilise the former Princes Parade municipal waste tip to provide a new fit for purpose leisure facilities, including a new pool, that would aid them in improving physical and mental wellbeing in the community.
The development also features new homes for the local community, including 45 affordable, new public parks and improved access to the canal and beach. The project also includes work to restore and repair the canal as an important Scheduled Ancient Monument. We provided cost advice from RIBA Stages 1-3 that included full viability and cost appraisals for planning. The scheme has since achieved planning and has recently started on site.
