We are pleased to announce that we have been appointed to work with local charity The Fifth Trust on their Greenbanks Skills Centre Development project.

The Fifth Trust are a charity located in Kent that supports adults with learning disabilities. They offer a wide choice of activities to their students to help them live productive and fulfilled lives, enabling them to reach their potential.

In order to achieve these goals, the Fifth Trust need to provide a safe and modern environment for students. Their current facilities at Greenbanks are out of date, with inadequate spaces inaccessible by wheelchair and buildings that are expensive to run and maintain.

The Fifth Trust have fundraised the money required to deliver a phased project that will enable them to not only provide better facilities but also expand their operations.

Three buildings will be delivered:

  • Longhouse: will enable the Trust to take in more students and will provide a central hub offering event space and new facilities
  • Media Pavilion: will offer IT, photography, design and life skills training
  • Art Pavilion: providing two classrooms

Once delivered, Greenbanks will provide a healthier environment for students and staff, better support and greater income for the Trust which will enhance the Charity’s long-term viability.

B&M will be providing Quantity Surveying services and local architect HMY have also been appointed to progress and manage the design through the construction phase.
